Last night, we had to put our little, precious basset hound puppy to sleep. It was terribly hard to watch that sweet, innocent baby take her last breath, but the pain is gone, although it may never be for us. She was so loving, caring, mischievous and perfect. Sometimes the body does what it is going to do and there is little time, if any at all, to rectify the inevitable. I will miss her big paws and floppy ears, her loud bark and nosey noise. She will be missed and loved for all of eternity and my heart breaks typing these words. Your brother Ozu (the beagle) is looking for you as this is being posted. We love you Zoe and you will be missed immensely. Rest in peace sweetheart.
