Golden Globes Predictions

Who the hell knows when it really gets down to it. The Globes like star power, so expect a lot of big names. I would not be shocked if the big four get nominated from The Big Short, for example. It probably will not happen but you never know. The big questions for me is can Beasts of No Nation, Straight Outta Compton or Trumbo continue the high they are on coming off of today’s SAG nominations? How much love will Globe favorites Iñárritu, Russell and Tarantino receive of their films? Who gets in for Best Supporting Actor? Does Ridley Scott and/or George Miller receive a Best Director nomination? It is really a big party, but last year six of the films nominated in the two main film categories landed Best Picture nominations from the Academy. It is not a bellwether of what will happen at the Oscars, but the Globes want to be taken more seriously while at the same time having the big stars shine at the soirée. We shall see what happens tomorrow morning. Enjoy!
